Merry (LATE!) Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well, I don't know about you all, but I had a GREAT Christmas! I got three new books. They are 'The Warrior Heir', 'Here, There be Dragons', and 'The Search for the Red Dragon'. The last two are by the same author, James A. Owen. I'm afraid that I can't remember who the first one is by right now .scuba hand signals *whistles innocently*
I also got new journals and pens. The journals are going to be used for writing journals. A writing journal is what an author may carry around with him (or her! scuba hand signals ) self to write down things that pop into their minds while they are not in a place to write the idea down. Like in the store, or a resturant.
Well, I got alot of other stuff, but as it is WAY past my bed time, I can't write them all down. Good night!

EEK!

Wow! I see that I have not posted in about 2 months! We have been very busy around here! Just to list some things:

1. Basketball about 2 or 3 times a week
2. 2 Birthdays (one of them mine!!!)
3. Church Christmas Cantata
4. MUCH MUCH more!

I guess I will tell about each of the things listed here. OK, first, BASKETBALL!!!

My team is called the Crusaders. We consist of 10 Middle School girls. We have been playing mostly JV teams, though. You see, there are no middle school teams in our region (which also means that we automatically get to go to state!). We haven't won a game yet, though we have come close!!! winking smileys My Mom as posted some pics of that on her blog. The site address is below.

BIRTHDAY!!!

On December 8th I had my 14th B-day! My Mom posted pictures of my on her blog ( http://www.galyeanbattalion.blogspot.com/ ), you will have to scroll down to see them. I had a great time! I got a Nintendo DS for my birthday and my B-day supper was made up of:
1. Pasta
2. Some green beans
3. Just plain salad
4. Chocolate cake
5.Edy's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!

CHRISTMAS CANTATA

Our new Church puts on a Christmas Cantata every year. This year we were apart of that by doing a drama type thing while the choir sang. It was a lot of work, but worth it!

Mommy has a new favorite singing group. They are called 'Straight no Chaser'. Here is a video of them:

REALLY, REALLY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, I thought this was really cool! You guys HAVE to read this!

Dear Friend:This past Tuesday, the McCain / Palin Bus came through a little towncalled, Lebanon , Ohio . The LORD allowed me to go to the Rally givingthem a message that He wanted me to personally deliver.Sunday Night - a burden hit me that would only shake me to my knees - Iprayed and wept for our Nation. Never has my heart been so broken beforeGod. I literally interceded for these wonderful people who do not deserveall the hate against them. . . .Monday and into Monday Night - the burden of prayer was so heavy that I wasliterally shaking and could not stop weeping. ( I didn't know that theywere coming to Ohio .) I prayed and walked and wept and walked. . . . onand on.Tuesday at 2:00 A.M. - God spoke these words to me - 'Go turn the Radioon!' Immediately the Reporter's Words w ere - 'McCain & Palin Bus to be inLebanon later this morning for a 10:00 A.M. Rally!'Immediately on hearing that news, I heard God again...God said, 'You are to go. You will meet them and give them a message forMe!'[]. . . . .I didn't stop praying until I drove over to the town and parkedthe car. The News would later report they were expecting 5,000 people andthe actual head-count of those who had been scanned was more than 10,000people.I simply obeyed...and God actually told me where to stand, who to talkto...and when to be on the move. . . . . and even those standing beside youmay just be an Angel.I struck up a conversation with an agent on the ground - he simply said, 'Ican't allow you to stand here!' Here is where the bus was going to actualpull up . They had to make a much larger perimeter so the entire area wasnow being moved back several blocks. . . . He told me to go through themetal detector zone and just watch from the back. So, that's what I did.Looking over the shoulders and backs and heads of all those people...I knewit would take a miracle for what GOD told me to do.As I was standing there, two Boy Scouts came running up myback...literally, they almost knocked me to the ground because they wererunning so fast behind[] me.... Their Scout Leader and several smallerboys were behind them...but as the first two were trying to push throughthe crowd, saying they were late...the smaller scouts were left in theirdust. The Scout Leader who was with a McCain Rep from the State grabbed meand told me to bring the other Scouts up front as they continued to pushthrough. As the Rep was shouting back at me......the people parted just like Godparted the Re d Sea.! When I got there I was fifteen feet from thepodium. GOD said, 'Stand here, and don't move from this spot.'Within five minutes...the bus pulled up and around the other side McCain,Sarah Palin and her husband Todd stepped up and the speeches took off. Iwas where God placed me...and even Sarah Palin and Todd were standing on myside of the stage. I made eye contact, I gave them thumbs upgestures...and I knew they were just happy to see me standing there. Ha Ha . . . . .A little lady who stood by me, reached up and told the Rep thatthey had promised a picture with her because she was the one who had lost ason in Iraq , recently. The Rep confirmed she would get a picture withthem and they would talk to her. When McCain came to hug her... heimmediately shook my hand and following his moment with her, I shook hishand . . . . I said, 'God wants you to know that I'm praying for you, Sir!'He thanked me and kept smiling. I repeated that phrase to him five times! He grabbed my hands and looked right into my eyes and said, 'I won't makeit with out prayer. Sir, Thank you for praying for me, and don't let oneday go by that you don't pray for me. I need all the prayers that I canget. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!'As he moved to my right, Sarah Palin, came over to my left side...standingover the crowd and then looking at the little lady who had lost the son. .. . Sarah came and got on her hands and knees on that side of the stageand hugged that little Mom, telling her, '...it was not in vain.. . . . . ..It was at this moment Sarah Palin, reached out for me to help her up and asI was assisting her to stand I was now face to face with her and GOD said,'Open up your Mouth and I will fill it.'Here is what came out... 'God wants you to know that you are a present day Esther!'[She immediately began to cry]!'God wants to tell you that you are Chosen for such a time as this!' 'Youare called, and chosen to be a leader.' 'Don't lose heart and don't fearman.' 'The news and nay-sayers and criticizers are going to be veryhateful toward you... and in the days ahead they are going to turn up theheat...but do not fear.''You are a present day Esther.' You are an Esther. You are an Esther!'Keep your eyes on GOD and know that He has chosen you to Reign!' 'Staystrong...be strong...don't tire. Don't be weary in well-doing. Bestrong.' Her husband Todd came over and I told him what I told her. He began tocry. I emphasized the fact that he was to guard her at this time...andknow that '...she is GOD-CALLED and GOD-ANOINTED.' ...this is a GOD-THINGand your wife is a Present day Esther...she is for God to use at thistime...She is an Esther...she is an Esther...she is an Esther.' You willbe hated...but stand strong...GOD has called both of you to stand!' 'Weare praying and I am praying for you...!'At this moment, McCain came right to where I was finishing talking to Toddand I told Mr. McCain exactly what I told to Sarah and Todd Palin.'Mr. McCain, ...they are called of God and she is an Esther.' 'Don't losehope and don't lose heart.' We are praying for all of you!'He shook my hand and with a deep look of understanding what I had justsaid, he said, 'Thank you for your prayers and support...I really do meanthat!' And he turned and shook more hands...and I watched them as they wentthrough the crowd. When I got to my car I sat there for quite a long time...knowing the GOD ofthe Universe had just used me to deliver a message confirming to Sarah andTodd to realize they are truly chosen vessels of God.I wept. I have not stopped praying and crying. My heart is full knowingthey had to have all the staging and all the hype and all the crowd...butthe GOD of Heaven and Earth...wanted to give them a Divine-God-Appointment!To God be all the GLORY and HONOR. Do you want to know if I believe Godcan speak. Yes...Absolutely!Burdened for all of our Leaders!Pastor Mark Arnold ( Ohio )

We are moving.....AGAIN!

Yep! That's right! We are moving again! You see, the house that we are( or should I say were???unhappy smileys ) in was kept on the market. We actually told the guy that we are renting the house from to keep it on the market because they had had it on the market for a couple of years and had barely been looked at. We figured that it wouldn't hurt to just keep it on the market. Well... uh.. you see what happened! smilies src="http://img2.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/confused/confused0081.gif" border=0>

Well, I am actually glad that we are moving because the house that we are moving to has built in speakers so that you can listen to music, and that is in almost every room! I thought that was really cool!innocent smileys Also, this house is bigger than the house we are currently living in. THAT IS A VERY BIG PLUS! winking smileys

Reviews for Wayne Thomas Batson

Hello! I am going to do some more reviews for the contest I'm in. YES, I'm in ANOTHER contest! Anyway, here are the reviews:

Books by Wayne Thomas Batson:
The Door Within
Aiden Thomas has just moved to his Grampin's house. His family and he have had to move because Aiden's Grampin is very sick. Aiden hates it. He had to move away from his only friend, Robby. But, then Aiden gets to go to Alleble. Alleble is the world of the Glimpses. But Alleble is at war, and all of the Glimpses seem to think that Aiden is going to be a great knight and lead them all to a great victory. Can Aiden do it? Find out in 'The Door Within'!
The Rise of the Wyrm Lord
Aiden has come back from Alleble very changed. He now paints and practices his sword. He also has a very strong trust in King Eliam. He is starting High School this year, and is very nervous. He meets a girl, Anttionette, who also believes in Alleble. When Aiden learns that Attionette is being called to Alleble, he hopes that perhaps she can reach his good friend Robby with the message that King Eliam lives.
The Final Storm
Aiden has been reading his Grampin's journals and in one of them is letter for Aiden! Aiden's Grampin thinks that Aiden will be going back to Alleble! It turns out that he is right! Once Aiden is back in Alleble, he learns that there a Three Witnesses to be found. The Three Witnesses are crucial to Alleble's peace and winning of the war. Will they be able to find them in time???
Isle of Swords
Declan Ross and his daughter, Anne, are pirates. Declan does not want to be a pirate, but he has no choice. Then Anne finds a boy who cannot remember who he is and Declan takes him on as a ships hand. They soon find out that he knows more about ships and sword fighting than a regular boy should. So, where did he come from? Then there's the matter of a HUGE treasure that could deliver the Rosses from piracy forever. But, in the way will Declan and Anne find a treasure worth more than gold?
Isle of Fire
Declan and Anne Ross have left piracy behind them and are now trying to get other pirates to leave piracy behind as well. But, then Bartholomew Thorne, the most horrible pirate on the seas, is out to get the Rosses as well as Cat, the boy that Anne found whose memory was lost. Will they be able to succeed in turning more pirates from piracy? Or will they just end up being killed by Bartholomew Thorne like many before them?
OK, I know that I said that I would be posting reviews for Donita K. Paul's books, but I just really wanted to do reviews on Wayne Thomas Batson's books this time, so I will do reviews on Donita K. Paul's books next time. See ya' later!

Moving/OBX pictures and a few reviews

BOO! He, he.. Yes, it is finally me! After not writing for almost a month, I AM BACK!!!!!!!!! So, I took that picture up there on our way to the OBX, about 2 weeks ago. I think I am going to to change my picture over there in the 'about me' thingy. This year, at the OBX Benjamin swam for the first time! YAY BANJAMIN!!!!! He looked really cute in his swim vest that Tia Shannon gave him. As you can most likely tell from the picture, he LOVED swimming! unhappy smileys
Yep... That's my Mom..... Can you tell we don't play put-put much?!?!?!

And that's my Dad. When we took this picture, we were all at our new home, taking a break from unpacking. We saw a butterfly and went to see if we could catch it. Well, it, uh, kinda caught my dad......... He, he....?

Well, if you want to know more about how the move was or the OBX, you should go to my Mom's blog ( http://www.galyeanbattalion.blogspot.com/ ).

OH! Joseph now has a blog. It is http://www.indianajoe1.blogspot.com/ . It is pretty cool.

NOW THE REVIEWS

These are some books that I enjoyed:

BEYOND THE REFLECTIONS EDGE

BY BRYAN DAVIS

This book was GREAT! When Nathen Shepard's parents are murdered, his world turns upside-down. He has to go to a "safe-house" before the murderer gets him too. Then he discovers a mirror them shows different realms and a camera that takes pictures of things that aren't really there. He also finds out that his parents might not really be dead! I'm not going to let anything thing else out though, so if you want to the answers to these questions, you will have to read the book!!!!!!

Raising Dragons

(Dragons in our Midst Series)

By Bryan Davis

Billy Bannister has always had a good life. But, then he discovers a dark family secret that his Dad has tried to keep hidden from him. At school he meets a girl, Bonnie Silver, who has a disturbing secret. And to top it all off, the Principal is out to get Billy's dad. I really liked the book!

The Candlestone

(Dragons in our MIdst Series)

By Bryan Davis

When Bonnie's dad suddenly shows up and tries to take her away from her new found friends, she has a choice to make. Should she try to stay here with her friends and possibly taken away by force, or should she just go and leave it be? And, sense saying anything else will give the rest of the story away, I won't say anything else! Well, I will say that this book is better than I have made it sound! mad smileys

Circles of Seven

(Dragons in our Midst Series)

By Bryan Davis

This is my personal favorite of this series! Billy and Bonnie have to go into seven different dimensions together. Along the way they get separated! With both of them in mortal danger, can their friends back home help them? Will the get out of the dimensions alive?

Tears of a Dragon

(Dragons in our Midst Series)

By Bryan Davis

Billy's Dad is missing and there is a war to be fought. Billy and Bonnie must find Billy's Dad in order to win the battle. When they learn that he might be in a different diminsion, a place called Dragon's Rest, Billy is ready to give the ultimite sacrafice to get his dad out. This is also a REALLY good book. That is the end of this series, if you want to find out more about these books, then go to Bryan Davis' web site at: http://www.dragonsinourmidst.com/ -or- http://www.dragonsinourmidst.blogspot.com/ (That's his blog.)

Eye of the Oracle

(Oracles of Fire Series)

By Bryan Davis

Mara wants out of the slave chamber that she has lived in all her life with her evil mistress, Morgan. One day she finds out that a boy, who has been starved and beaten my Morgan, is on the other side wall! Will they ever get out?

And, once again I cannot really think of away to out any more of a review on here without giving away the book, so you guys will just have to read the books! cool smileys ( EVIL LAUGH!!!)

Enoch's Ghost

(Oracles of Fire Series)

By Bryan Davis

Ashley and Walter are on a quest to find Ashley's brother, Gabriel. On the way they have to go underground and they find a girl who says her name is Sapphira and can make fire by just saying 'flame!'. She also says that she knows where Ashley's brother is. Can they trust her? Or will she lead them to thier doom?

The Last of the Nephilim

(Oracles of Fire Series)

By Bryan Davis

When Billy finds out that Bonnie is in trouble he wants to help her. But first he must find her. You see, Bonnie and her Mom went into hiding so that they could just relax for a while. But, then the slayers came out again. Will Billy be able to help Bonnie? Will either of them survive?

I am still waiting for the next book to come out after this one. These are two of my top for series.

Next time I will post reviews on Donita K. Paul's books.

(MORE!!!) Baby Hamsters

Yes, that's right! MORE BABY HAMSTERS!!!!!! One of Jackie's former baby hamsters (White Lily) had baby hamsters!!! 10 of the little rodents. Although, one of them has died, so actually right now it is only 9. Jackie was groaning and carry on like no other! I think she doesn't like hamsters as much as she used to. She even let Rosie and another one of the hamsters (something to do with a flower... Jackie really likes flowers...) go into the wild! The "other hamster " was looking REALLY pregnant. I think that's why Jackie let her go. You see why I have a boy hamster!!!Commercial Mortgages

I think that brings the total of all hamsters to: 12!!!!!!

Well, about a week ago my Mom and I entered a photo contest at our local library. Guess what! We both won a 1st place!!!!Commercial Mortgages My 1st place winner is over there to the left. I won in Things. Mama won in People. Leave me a comment if you want me to put her picture of Uncle Ronnie over there!!!

Well, tonight is the Fine Arts Festival for Homeschoolers. The bell group is playing and my siblings and some friends and I are going to do a stick drama called 'Arise my Love'. I will try to put a video of it on here (if we get to video tape it, our video camera is acting weird....Commercial Mortgages ). Jackie will also be singing and so will Benjamin.
